Welcome to Term Homeschool. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Term Homeschool ("Term," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our service.

2. Description of Service

Term is a web-based homeschool planning application that helps families organize, schedule, and manage their educational planning. We provide tools for creating term plans, managing subjects, tracking progress, and adapting schedules as needs change.

3. Account Registration and Eligibility

Age Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• Students over 13 may be able to access accounts in the future, subject to parental consent and supervision

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Providing accurate and current information

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

The Plan

Term is sold as a single plan, priced per family and billed either monthly or annually at the prices shown on our pricing page. There are no tiers, and no per-child charge: one subscription covers every parent and every child in your household.

Free Trial

• New accounts begin with a free trial of the length stated at sign-up
• Your payment method is collected at sign-up and first charged when the trial ends
• Cancelling before the trial ends means you are not charged at all

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees
• Prices are subject to change with notice to existing subscribers before their next renewal

Fair Use of the AI Assistant

Your subscription includes use of Term's AI Assistant for planning your own household's homeschool, without credit limits. Because each request carries a real cost to us, we reserve the right to apply reasonable limits to usage that is far outside normal family use, or that is automated, resold, or directed at something other than teaching your own children. We will contact you before limiting an account.

Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with Term within the first 30 days of your initial subscription, you may request a full refund by contacting us at hello@termhomeschool.com.

• Refunds are only available for the first 30 days of a new subscription
• Renewal charges are not eligible for refunds
• Refund requests must be submitted via email
• Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days

5. Acceptable Use

Permitted Use

Term is intended for personal homeschool planning by the family that holds the subscription, including both teaching parents.

Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Use Term for commercial purposes, or resell access to it
• Share your account credentials outside your own household
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or hack the service
• Use automated systems to access or scrape the service
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise security
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. User Content and Data

Your Content

You retain ownership of all planning data, lesson plans, and content you create in Term. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the service to you.

Data Backup and Export

• We implement regular backups of user data
• You can export your data at any time
• You are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies

7. Service Availability and Modifications

• We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with notice to users
• Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible
• We are not liable for downtime or service interruptions

8. Termination

By You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for other legitimate business reasons. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.

9. Intellectual Property

Term and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Kitchen Table Learning, LLC d/b/a Term Homeschool and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Service Provided "As Is"

Term is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Term Homeschool and Kitchen Table Learning, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through a notice on our website. Your continued use of Term after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
